There are currently no verified public Halloween: The Game codes that every player can copy and redeem. The game does have a working Redeem Codes menu, and a limited Regal promotional reward has used individual codes, but there is no universal September 2026 code list confirmed by IllFonic.

The distinction matters because several different things are being described online as “Halloween codes,” even though they are not the same product.

A Steam game key, a unique promotional cosmetic code, and a public reward code that anyone can enter are three different things.

Right now, only the first two have credible evidence behind them. There is no verified universal code that GamingStation can responsibly tell every player to copy into the game.

Are There Any Active Halloween: The Game Codes Right Now?

For a normal player looking for a code such as HALLOWEEN2026 or MYERS to enter for a free reward, the answer is no verified public codes as of September 22, 2026.

IllFonic’s official news archive has launch updates, patches, progression info, and physical-edition details.

It also has other announcements, but none mention a public code drop. The latest public game update listed there is the September 17 development update.

Recent code trackers also report no public active code list. Destructoid’s September 17 update, for example, still lists no active or expired public codes.

That is why this page does not include a row of made-up or recycled strings just to make the article look fuller.

If IllFonic releases a universal code later, it should appear here only after it can be traced to the developer, an official partner, or a code that can be independently verified.

So Why Does Halloween: The Game Have a Redeem Codes Menu?

Because the game does support promotional code redemption, even though there is no normal public code list yet.

This is not speculation. IllFonic’s official Patch 1.0.2, released September 11, specifically says it fixed the Redeem button in the Redeem Code menu when using a controller. The same patch also fixed an issue involving limited promotional Regal Eyewear for the civilian character Rachel.

That confirms two useful things:

  • a functioning Redeem Code system exists;
  • limited promotional rewards have already been distributed through it.

What it does not confirm is that IllFonic plans to release frequent public codes in the style of a free-to-play or Roblox game.

There is currently no official public schedule for future code drops.

What Is the Regal Halloween: The Game Code?

The most documented in-game promotion so far is connected to Regal.

GamesRadar reported that eligible Regal Crown Club members who participated in the Halloween film promotion received individual redemption codes by email for a 3D Glasses cosmetic reward for civilian characters. These were not one shared code that everyone could copy from a website.

The existence of the reward itself is reinforced by IllFonic’s Patch 1.0.2, which refers to limited promotional “Regal” Eyewear and fixes a problem where the item was missing for Rachel.

This makes the Regal reward fundamentally different from a typical code-list article.

There is no responsible reason to publish somebody else’s unique code and label it as an active public code.

Is the Regal Promotion Still Available?

Players should be careful here because there were two related Regal promotions that can easily be confused.

One was the limited in-game eyewear promotion discussed above.

The other was the official Halloween The Game Regal Sweepstakes.

According to Regal’s official rules, that sweepstakes ran from August 28 through September 18, 2026. One hundred winners are scheduled to receive a Steam code for a free copy of Halloween: The Game, with the winner drawing planned for around November 10.

The entry period has therefore already ended as of September 22.

Also note what that prize actually is:

A Steam code for the game itself.

It is not the same as entering an in-game cosmetic code under Graveyard → Extras.

If somebody wins one of those Steam keys, the key is redeemed through Steam rather than through Halloween: The Game’s cosmetic-code box.

That difference is easy to miss, and it explains why searching for “Halloween The Game codes” currently returns several different types of answers.

How to Redeem a Halloween: The Game Code

If you already have a legitimate promotional code, the current in-game process is straightforward.

  1. Launch Halloween: The Game.
  2. Open the Graveyard tab from the main interface.
  3. Go to Extras, represented by the three-dot menu.
  4. Select Redeem Codes.
  5. Enter the code exactly as it was provided.
  6. Select Redeem.
  7. Check the relevant cosmetic or reward area after the code is accepted.

This menu route is documented in the current post-launch game build.

Using a Controller?

Make sure your game is updated.

At launch, the Redeem button had a controller-related problem. IllFonic specifically fixed that issue in Patch 1.0.2 on September 11.

If you are following an older launch-week workaround from another guide, try the current patched version first.

What to Do If Your Code Was Accepted but the Reward Is Missing

First, restart the game.

GamesRadar’s current redemption guide recommends restarting after code redemption if the reward does not immediately appear.

Then check the correct character or customization category.

This matters particularly for the Regal reward because Patch 1.0.2 had to correct a specific problem where the promotional eyewear was missing for Rachel.

If the item is still absent:

  • confirm that the code was entered without extra spaces or typing mistakes;
  • make sure the game is fully updated;
  • restart the client;
  • check whether the reward is intended for a particular character or cosmetic category;
  • Keep the original email or promotion information in case support needs proof of eligibility.

Do not repeatedly purchase or trade codes from strangers simply because the reward did not appear immediately.

Why Is My Halloween: The Game Code Not Working?

There are several possibilities, and not all of them mean the code itself is fake.

The Game Is Out of Date

Older builds had a controller issue affecting the Redeem button.

Patch 1.0.2 fixed that problem, so updating the game should be the first step on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.

You Are Using the Wrong Type of Code

A Steam game key does not belong in Halloween’s in-game Redeem Codes menu.

For example, Regal’s official sweepstakes awards Steam codes for the full game. Those are platform activation keys rather than in-game cosmetic codes.

It Is a Unique Promotional Code

The Regal cosmetic promotion used individual emailed codes rather than a universal public string, according to current reporting.

Do not assume a code copied from another player’s screenshot will behave like a reusable community code.

The Reward Has Not Refreshed Yet

If redemption appears successful but the item is absent, restart the game before taking more drastic steps.

The Code Came From an Unverified Website

A website putting a random string beside an “Active” label does not make it legitimate.

The safest test is if you can trace the code to IllFonic, the official Halloween: The Game channels, or a named partner.

Are There Expired Halloween: The Game Codes?

There are no verified public expired codes to list at the moment.

That may sound unusual for a “codes” article. But it is more accurate than making an expired section. That section would be filled with codes. Those codes were never public in the first place.

The Regal promotional codes are better treated as limited individual promotional rewards, not as a normal public code release that later expired for everyone.

If IllFonic eventually releases public codes with fixed expiration dates, this section can become a traditional Active / Expired archive.

Until then, keeping it empty is the more useful answer.

Can Codes Unlock the Phantom Michael Myers Skin?

There is no evidence that the Phantom Michael Myers Skin is a public redeem-code reward.

IllFonic listed it as a Digital Pre-order Exclusive before launch and stated that it would not be available to purchase after the pre-order period.

That means you should treat any page claiming a random September code unlocks Phantom Michael Myers with caution. IllFonic must explicitly change the availability rules.

Can Codes Unlock Digital Deluxe Content?

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes its own paid content, including the Inmate Michael Myers skin and additional civilian characters.

Those rewards are tied to the edition or Deluxe upgrade rather than a currently advertised public code system.

Do not confuse edition ownership with code redemption.

Are More Halloween: The Game Codes Coming?

Possibly, but there is no announced public code schedule.

The Redeem Codes menu makes future promotions possible. The Regal eyewear promotion shows IllFonic can use it for limited rewards.

That does not guarantee weekly, monthly, or seasonal code drops.

The best places to watch are the official Halloween: The Game news page and the developer’s official Halloween: The Game Discord announcement.

If a future code appears, GamingStation will treat it as active only after checking:

  • who issued it;
  • whether it is public or account-specific;
  • what reward it provides;
  • what platforms it applies to;
  • whether an expiration date has been stated.

That verification matters more than being the first site to publish an untested string.

One Important Difference: Codes vs Game Keys

This is probably the most useful distinction to remember.

In-game code

Entered inside:

Graveyard → Extras → Redeem Codes

Purpose: promotional in-game rewards such as cosmetics.

Steam game key

Entered through Steam’s product-activation system.

Purpose: add Halloween: The Game itself to a Steam account.

The Regal sweepstakes prize belongs to the second category.

If you receive a copy of the game for another platform and are wondering how playing with friends across systems works, see our Halloween: The Game crossplay guide.

Halloween: The Game Codes FAQ

Are there any active Halloween: The Game codes?

There are currently no verified universal public codes as of September 22, 2026. Limited promotional codes have existed, including the Regal eyewear promotion.

Does Halloween: The Game have a code system?

Yes. The game has an official Redeem Codes menu. IllFonic referenced and fixed that menu in Patch 1.0.2.

Where do I enter Halloween: The Game codes?

Open Graveyard → Extras → Redeem Codes, then enter your eligible promotional code.

What does the Regal code unlock?

The limited Regal promotion has been associated with promotional eyewear for civilian characters. IllFonic’s own Patch 1.0.2 confirms the existence of limited promotional Regal Eyewear.

Is there a public Regal code I can copy?

No universal public Regal code has been verified. Current reporting describes the promotional codes as individually distributed to eligible users.

Is the Regal Steam code the same as the cosmetic code?

No. Regal’s official sweepstakes prize is a Steam code for a copy of Halloween: The Game. That is a game key, not an in-game cosmetic code.

Why doesn’t the Redeem button work?

If you are using an older game build, update it. Patch 1.0.2 fixed an issue where the Redeem button did not work properly with a controller.

Are there expired codes?

There are currently no verified universal public expired codes worth listing.

Can codes unlock Michael Myers skins?

No current public code has been verified for the major Michael Myers edition rewards. The Phantom Michael Myers skin was officially described as a digital pre-order exclusive.
